Cindy Sherman’s Untitled Film Stills, as seen in a 1978 group show at Artists Space, as well as her first solo show at Hallwalls the following year. I always find it interesting to see early installation shots of the Film Stills. In the beginning, Sherman would usually hang them with push pins. After all, she never really intended for them to become such commodities; she wanted them to seem a bit cheap and ephemeral.
Our installation crew is putting the finishing touches on our Cindy Sherman exhibition today, as the media preview will take place tomorrow morning. Exciting!
