I love the Untitled Film Stills just as much as the day I came across them; still, I must admit that I’ve grown a bit tired of reading about them. It seems like everything that can be said, has been said several times over. However, this new article by G. Roger Denson—which analyzes the specific filmic influences on the series’ subject matter, compositions, etc.—is a must-read! Finally! A fresh—and thorough—take on a groundbreaking body of work.
